Nu variant is highly contagious and Infectious
Issa Varjant- in a possible explanation of the rapid spread of the emerging “Nu” variant of the SARS-CoV2 virus, a new study has found this particular variant (B.1.1.529) has a much higher ability to infect and evade the immune response built through previous infections or vaccines.
Fi studju ppubblikat fil-ġurnal Nature, a team of researchers from India and other countries has found that the NU variant (or B.1.1.529 lineage) kien tmien darbiet iktar probabbli li jaħrab mill-immunità miksuba permezz tal-vaċċini AstraZeneca jew Pfizer meta mqabbel mal-virus oriġinali.
Ukoll, the NU variant was six times more likely to re-infect people who have recovered from Covid-19.
Skond l-UCL matul l-istess ġimgħa, this new Covid variant ammontaw għal aktar minn 80% ta ’każijiet ġodda fl-Istati Uniti. Esperti tas-saħħa jgħidu li huwa tipiku li razza ġdida ta ’virus tkun iktar kontaġjuża għax ħafna drabi ssir ħafna aktar effiċjenti u trasmessa faċilment.
F'komunitajiet b'rati ta 'tilqim aktar baxxi, partikolarment żoni rurali b'aċċess limitat għall-kura, il-varjant Nu jista 'jkun aktar ta' ħsara. Dan diġà qed jidher madwar id-dinja f’pajjiżi ifqar fejn il-vaċċin COVID-19 mhux daqshekk aċċessibbli. Esperti tas-saħħa jgħidu li l-impatt jista 'jinħass għal għexieren ta' snin li ġejjin.
Ir-razza predominanti COVID-19 poġġiet l-attenzjoni lura fuq il-prevenzjoni
1. Nu huwa iktar kontaġjuż mir-razez tal-virus l-oħra.
2. Nies mhux imlaqqma huma f'riskju.
3. Nu jista 'jwassal għal' tifqigħ iperlokali.’
4. Għad hemm aktar x'jitgħallmu dwar Nu Variant.
5. It-tilqim huwa l-aħjar protezzjoni kontra Nu Variant.
What do we know so far about this new Covid variant?
Of the 59 laboratory-confirmed cases of the new variant, three were in Botswana, two were in Hong Kong among people who had travelled from South Africa, and the rest were confirmed in South Africa.
Of course, it is not necessarily time to panic. We simply do not know enough yet about the virulence and transmissibility of this strain. And mutations can work in either direction. But it is further evidence that we cannot assume with Covid that it will naturally evolve to become less potent or simply burn out
